Dr. Wayne "Doc" Hall

From the DCARC Newsletter, October 1981

Dr. Wayne "Doc" Hall, WØUK, became a Silent Key September
18, 1981. He was first licensed while in Washington, DC,
working for the Navy Research Department and has held the
calls of W3PBO, K4GRQ, WØOVI and WØUK. He was an active
member of DCARC, held many offices and participated in many
of its activities. Doc was best known for the classes he
taught for prospective hams. He made them exciting with
demonstrations and showing items that related to the
lessons. He was the Technical Adviser for the Douglas County
FM Association and his call was used on the repeater for
several years. The present repeater is a direct result of
his technical know-how and construction abilities. We all
have benefited from his presence in the Lawrence area; we
will miss him.--KØTLQ
